New Venture Lab: Equipping Christian Entrepreneurs

Question

I have no business acumen and no mind for business.  I feel like I need a business coach.  Not ongoing, but maybe an hour or two of consulting to review my current plan/thoughts and make some suggestions.  Any ideas on where to turn for help?

Answer

We do not provide general business coaching of such a short duration at the moment.  The projects we take on are usually more in depth and longer in nature, such as assisting with the launch of a new venture, selling a company, running an acquisition search, etc.

For assistance with short, general basic business coaching , I would recommend contacting your local chapter of SCORE (score.org) .  SCORE describes itself as follows:

SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors. SCORE was founded in 1964.
