Also consider 1) participating in a local angel investment group if you live in a mid-sized or large city and 2) if you live in university town, meet the director of the small business development center on campus. I'm amazed at the number of tech ventures seeking basic business coaching from our local center. In both cases, you will be exposed to numerous possibilities.
