How do you anticipate which industries are set to change and provide the most opportunities in the next fear years?
Answer
One suggestion is to read the reports from various economists to see what sectors of the economy are expected to do in the near term, but few will agree and they are often wrong. In general, if the economy remains slow, basic goods and services, repair and rehab services (auto, home and appliance), discounters, second-hand retailers, and healthcare will remain strong. On the other hand, if the economy starts to rebound, most of the growth should come in consumer spending sectors of housing, autos, and retail of all sorts, while the previously mentioned sectors (basic goods, etc.) remain fairly stable.
