What are your recommendations for delegating work without hiring employees?Answer
My preferred way of delegating to others is contracting or outsourcing. Create a detailed service level agreement and only pay for the work accomplished. This way you have turned the cost into a variable cost in that you only pay for the work performed. They pay all their own taxes, work from their own work environment and you maintain the integrity of your home business without the intrusion of others. As in the example of the craft carpenter above, outsource the least valuable, lowest skilled portion of your work and keep control of the most important part.
